How these were built

Each quiz expands one part of the reference guide into 50 questions grouped into six themes. Options are reshuffled every time you start, and every set was checked against all the others so no question is asked twice. One deliberate constraint runs through all of them: the four options are kept close in length, so the longest answer is never a giveaway. Across the whole collection the correct answer is the longest option about a quarter of the time — which is exactly what chance would give you.

On the regulations

Every rule, figure and date here is United States law, taken from the eCFR and the FAA rather than from secondary sources, and current as of August 2026. This area moves quickly — beyond-line-of-sight flight is still only proposed, the restrictions on foreign-made aircraft are under legal challenge, and counter-drone authority changed in July 2026. Verify anything you intend to rely on before you rely on it.
